The Feast of Lupercal
Rome roars for the conqueror. A soothsayer cries a warning, and Cassius begins to pour his envy into the ear of the one man Rome trusts — Brutus.
The Conspiracy
In a sleepless orchard Brutus resolves it must be by Caesar's death. Masked men swear in the dark, Portia pleads, and Calpurnia's dream nearly keeps Caesar home.
The Assassination
The Ides have come. Daggers fall on the Capitol floor, and Caesar dies at his friend's hand. Then Antony stands over the body and turns a grieving Rome to fire.
The Aftermath
Three men price Rome's lives at a table. In a tent at Sardis the old friends quarrel and reconcile, Portia is dead, and Caesar's ghost names the meeting place: Philippi.
The Battle of Philippi
Two armies meet on the plain. Cassius falls on the sword that killed Caesar; Brutus follows him. Antony names the noblest Roman of them all, and the Republic is gone.
